At a crucial summit in Beijing on May 14, President Donald Trump expressed his strong hope that US-China relations will reach a level of excellence that has never been seen before.

“It’s an honor to be here with you. It’s an honor to be your friend, and the relationship between the United States and China will be better than ever,” Trump said.
Trump also expressed optimism about the future of the two countries, saying, “We’re going to have a great future together. I have great respect for China and the work you’ve done.
