Béatrice Keul, a former Swiss model and beauty pageant contestant, has publicly accused U.S. President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her during an encounter in 1993. According to Keul, the incident allegedly took place after a Trump employee approached her and said that Trump wanted to meet with her privately. At the time, she believed the meeting would simply involve a conversation or professional discussion.
In interviews published in 2024, Keul described the encounter as deeply disturbing. She claimed that shortly after entering the room, Trump allegedly became physically aggressive. Keul stated that she was caught off guard and tried to resist his advances. She alleged that Trump kissed her on the lips and neck, attempted to lift her dress, and touched her body without consent. Keul said she struggled to get away from him and was unprepared for the situation she encountered.
The allegations gained renewed attention in April 2026 when Keul told the French newspaper Ouest-France that she is exploring legal action against Trump with the assistance of U.S. attorneys. According to her comments, the legal team is considering the possibility of filing a civil lawsuit under special “lookback window” laws that temporarily suspend statutes of limitations for certain sexual assault claims. Similar legal provisions have previously been used in high-profile cases involving allegations against other public figures.
Keul reportedly hopes that any future legal action could compel Trump to testify under oath regarding the allegations. Trump has not publicly responded to Keul’s recent statements. The claims add to the broader list of accusations and controversies that have surrounded the president over the years, many of which he has consistently denied.
