❤️Marine One Forced to Make Emergency Landing with Trump, Melania

President Trump and First Lady Melania had to switch helicopters due to a “hydraulics issue,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. “Out of an abundance of caution, the pilots landed at a local airfield before reaching Stansted Airport,” she said. The Marine One flight, originally scheduled to last 20 minutes from Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Chequers residence to Stansted, took nearly 40 minutes because of the unexpected issue. Despite the delay, the president and first lady safely continued their journey.

The visit marked an unusual second state visit for the Trumps, with King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcoming them to the U.K. Much of the trip focused on a major U.S. investment in the country. On Thursday, Prime Minister Starmer praised a £250 billion mutual investment package between the U.S. and U.K., calling it “the most natural partnership in the world.”

Trump’s day began at Windsor Castle with King Charles III before he flew to Chequers for meetings on politics and business. Following private discussions likely covering Ukraine, the Gaza conflict, environmental issues, and free speech, the president and prime minister met with business executives during a reception.

Starmer called the resulting agreement a “tech-prosperity deal,” and Trump highlighted the potential economic benefits, describing “billions of dollars of opportunities” and improved U.S. access to the U.K.’s world-class aerospace supply chain. Trump emphasized that the accord would foster government, academic, and private-sector collaboration in fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, fusion, 6G, and civil nuclear energy.

He also cited concrete examples, noting that over $350 billion in private-sector deals have already emerged from the partnership, including a $136 billion investment from Blackstone. One notable venture involves American company X Energy and British firm Centrica deploying modular nuclear reactors across the U.K., generating more than $50 billion in economic value, creating up to 2,500 jobs, and powering 1.5 million homes. Trump underscored the significance of energy access, calling it “one thing I learned very quickly. They need a lot of electricity.”

After completing his engagements in the U.K., President Trump returned to the White House on Friday, concluding a weeklong overseas trip that combined diplomacy with business development.
