Vance Says UFOs May Not Be Aliens, Promises Review Of Government Files

Vice President JD Vance recently shared his perspective on unexplained aerial phenomena, suggesting they may have origins other than extraterrestrial life. His remarks came during an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, where he was asked about the possible release of government files related to UFOs.

Vance said the administration is working toward making more information public, though no specific timeline has been announced. He acknowledged that reviewing these materials had been a personal interest of his when he first took office, but noted that other responsibilities have delayed a deeper examination. Still, he emphasized that he intends to look more closely into the issue in the future.

Offering his personal interpretation, Vance said he does not believe such phenomena are linked to aliens. Instead, he suggested they could be understood through a religious framework. He pointed to long-standing beliefs across major world religions, including Christianity, which describe the existence of forces or entities that are difficult to explain through conventional means.

According to Vance, these traditions acknowledge both positive and negative spiritual influences, and he views some unexplained events through that lens. He added that the idea of unseen forces has been part of human understanding for centuries.

His comments come as President Donald Trump has directed government agencies to begin identifying and releasing records related to UFOs and UAP. While public interest in the topic remains high, officials say the review process is ongoing, and further disclosures will depend on that work.
