US Navy Delivers Swift Justice to Defiant Iranian Ship

The United States delivered a clear demonstration of naval authority during a high-stakes encounter in the Gulf of Oman. According to Donald Trump, the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance intercepted an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel, TOUSKA, as it attempted to move through a U.S.-enforced blockade near the Strait of Hormuz.

American forces reportedly issued repeated warnings over six hours, instructing the ship to stop. When the crew failed to comply, the United States Navy took action. Precision fire from the destroyer’s 5-inch gun disabled the vessel by striking its engine room, bringing it to a halt without sinking it.

Following the strike, U.S. Marines boarded the ship and secured full control. Trump later stated that the vessel had been given ample warning, and its refusal to respond led directly to the outcome. The incident highlights the strategic importance of enforcing maritime security in one of the world’s most critical shipping corridors.
