😔Former Top Trump Adviser Passes Away Suddenly😔

Dr. James C. Dobson, a leading evangelical Christian psychologist, author, and broadcaster, died on August 21, 2025, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was 89.

Born on April 21, 1936, in Shreveport, Dobson began his career as a clinical psychologist specializing in child development and family dynamics. He rose to national prominence in the 1970s by offering practical, faith-based advice on parenting and marriage, gaining a wide and devoted audience.

In 1977, he founded Focus on the Family as a small radio ministry in California. The organization expanded rapidly and became one of the most influential evangelical groups in the world. Its daily radio program eventually aired on more than 4,000 stations across North America, was translated into 27 languages, and reached audiences in over 160 countries. Dobson’s broadcasts emphasized biblical principles as the foundation for strong families, while addressing concerns about social changes such as divorce and declining moral standards.

Over his lifetime, Dobson wrote more than 70 books, many of which became bestsellers. Titles like The New Dare to Discipline and When God Doesn’t Make Sense offered guidance on parenting, discipline, and faith during challenging times. His work promoted abstinence education, efforts to reduce teen pregnancy, and a strong pro-life position.

Dobson also had a significant presence in American public life. He advised several U.S. presidents, including George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump. He later served on Trump’s Evangelical Executive Advisory Board, helping to connect conservative Christian communities with national policy discussions.

In 2010, he stepped down from Focus on the Family and founded the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute, continuing his work through media and public advocacy.

Dobson’s legacy remains influential and debated. Supporters credit him with strengthening families and promoting faith-based values, while critics argue that some of his positions on social issues were divisive. Despite differing views, his impact on American evangelical culture and family-focused ministry is widely recognized.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, their children, and grandchildren.
