Fox News anchor Bret Baier reported that Donald Trump expressed strong confidence in U.S. military operations against Iran, saying the campaign has successfully completed all objectives outlined in what officials are calling āOperation Epic Fury.ā According to Baier, Trump described the missionās progress as meeting a āfour-point checklist,ā emphasizing that each goal had been achievedāācheck, check, check, check.ā
Baier said he had just spoken directly with Trump, who appeared satisfied with how events are unfolding. While acknowledging the loss of life and the possibility of further casualties, Trump reportedly stated that the operation is progressing faster than expected. He indicated that U.S. forces are ahead of their original timeline.
Sharing details from the conversation, Baier noted that Trump insisted there had always been a clear strategy in place. He also praised the strength of U.S. intelligence, calling it ātruly amazing.ā When asked whether internal resistance might emerge within Iran, Trump suggested he believed that possibility existed. However, he also claimed that some individuals who might have played a role are āno longer with us,ā referring to reports that 49 Iranian leaders had been killed.
Trump further explained that removing Iranās leadership was initially expected to take four to six weeks, especially if targets went into hiding. However, he suggested that developments have moved more quickly than anticipated, adding that U.S. intelligence had precise knowledge of locations and activities. He also claimed Iran is now turning to lesser-known figures to replace those lost.
The report then shifted to Peter Doocy, who provided additional insight. Doocy said officials believe all four key objectives of Operation Epic Fury have been met, raising the possibility that the campaign could conclude soon. Trump is expected to deliver remarks indicating the next steps.
According to Doocy, the operation has involved roughly 13,000 combat flights targeting more than 12,000 sites and destroying 155 Iranian vessels. The goals included dismantling Iranās missile capabilities, crippling its navy, weakening proxy forces, and preventing nuclear weapons development.
Meanwhile, Iranās president has rejected claims that the country poses a threat, while U.S. officials continue to dispute that position. At the same time, tensions between Washington and its allies are reportedly increasing, particularly regarding NATO and support for broader regional strategies.
