BREAKING: $270M E-3 Sentry spy plane demolished by Iranian attack at Saudi air base: photos

U.S. officials confirm that an American E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft was damaged during Iran’s missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

Verified images circulating online show the aircraft with severe structural damage, fueling claims that it was destroyed. However, major reports currently describe it as “damaged,” not officially a total loss. The strike also injured U.S. personnel and affected other aircraft at the base. The E-3 Sentry is a critical surveillance and command platform, making any damage significant for U.S. operations. While the extent of destruction remains unclear, the incident marks a serious escalation and highlights the vulnerability of high-value military assets in the region.
