Susan Dell, 62, Steps Out at the White House for $6.25B Announcement — Her Dramatically Different Look Has Surgeons Weighing In — Photos

She continued:

“These accounts are ready. They’re waiting for you, and they have money in them. So, claim your child’s accounts and start adding money to their accounts and preserving a wonderful future for them.”

The appearance followed Susan and Michael Dell’s $6.25 billion commitment connected to the initiative, making their involvement one of the biggest stories surrounding the program.

Trump even turned toward Michael after Susan finished speaking and joked about whether she might have a future in politics.

“What a good job. Michael, is she thinking of running for office? […] because I’ll endorse her immediately. She has my complete and total endorsement. Good job.”

Yet as photographs and video began circulating, another subject started attracting attention.

Viewers began comparing Susan’s recent appearance with photographs taken years earlier.

Some said her face appeared noticeably different, particularly around her eyes, cheeks, and jawline.

That quickly led to online speculation about whether she may have undergone cosmetic treatments.

There is, however, an important distinction.

Susan has not publicly confirmed having a facelift, fillers, Botox, eyelid surgery, or any of the other procedures being discussed.

Experts who commented on the photographs also acknowledged that it is impossible to establish someone’s cosmetic-treatment history simply by looking at images.

Dr. Ross Perry, Medical Director of Cosmedics skin clinics, was among those asked to compare Susan’s recent appearance with older photographs.

He said:

“Susan has sparked widespread speculation about whether she may have undergone cosmetic treatments. In comparison to earlier photographs, her face appears noticeably tighter and tauter, and her eye area looks more open than usual. Several aesthetic procedures, surgical or non-surgical, could create this type of result.”

Perry suggested that one possible explanation could be facial surgery.

“There is a possibility she may have undergone a full facelift, as the skin around the jawline and mid-face appears lifted.”

He also mentioned upper blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery.

“Another possibility is upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), which can make the eyes look more open, refreshed, and awake, an effect that looks likely in the recent images.”

But Perry emphasized that surgery would not be the only possible explanation.

Nonsurgical treatments can also noticeably change facial appearance.

“However, non-surgical treatments can also achieve significant changes. Botox can smooth forehead and frown lines, while dermal fillers in the cheeks or tear troughs can restore lost volume and create a more youthful contour.”

He also noted that extensive use of injectables can sometimes produce a noticeably different result.

“In some cases, overuse of injectables, such as excessive Botox around the eyes or too much filler in the mid-face, can even contribute to a slightly ‘wide-eyed’ or startled appearance.”

Still, perhaps his most important point was that photographs can be misleading.

“It’s also important to remember that lighting, makeup, camera angles, weight loss, or even temporary swelling can significantly alter how someone looks in photos. Without a professional consultation, any discussion of cosmetic work remains purely speculative.”

That warning matters because the photographs being compared were taken years apart, under different lighting, styling, makeup, and camera conditions.

Another cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Gerard Lambe, founder of the Reflect Clinic, also offered his professional observations after looking at recent images.

“Based on recent public appearances and images, Susan Dell appears to have invested significantly in facial rejuvenation procedures. Without examining her personally, I can only offer professional observations about what treatments might contribute to such changes.”

Lambe discussed a range of procedures that could hypothetically create similar results, including facial fillers, fat transfer, eyelid surgery, Botox, lip augmentation, and a facelift or mini-facelift.

He estimated that if someone underwent multiple procedures of that kind over time, the combined cost could become substantial.

“Total estimated investment could be $50,000-100,000 or more over time.”

That number remains hypothetical.

It does not establish that Susan spent that amount or underwent the procedures Lambe listed.

Lambe also suggested that what he described as possible excessive facial volume could explain some of the changes viewers noticed.

“The most noticeable aspect appears to be overfilling syndrome – when too much volume is added to the face, particularly in the mid-face area. This can create what we call ‘pillow face,’ where the natural contours are lost.”

He continued:

“Additionally, there may be overcorrection of volume loss leading to an unnatural fullness, possible filler migration over time, loss of natural facial proportions, and the challenge of treating mature skin that may not respond as predictably.”

Again, those comments are professional speculation based on photographs—not confirmation of Susan Dell’s medical or cosmetic history.

Online reactions were predictably divided.

Some commenters said Susan looked dramatically different from earlier years, while others argued that aging, weight changes, makeup, lighting, or styling could explain at least some of the contrast.

One commenter wrote:

“She was pretty- they were both younger too.”

Another said:

“Cosmetic procedures. That’s all. Leave her be.”

Others examined specific features such as her eyebrows, jawline, nose, and teeth.

The intense discussion demonstrates how quickly a public appearance can become the subject of visual scrutiny, particularly when older photographs are readily available for comparison.

Susan has appeared publicly alongside Michael Dell for decades.

Photos from the 2000s show her attending fashion events, charity galas, and high-profile social gatherings.

In 2013, she joined Michael as they announced a $50 million commitment to the University of Texas at Austin for the creation of Dell Medical School.

She continued appearing at major events through the following years, including SXSW, charity galas, golf events, and family celebrations.

More recent photographs show Susan attending the Breakthrough Prize ceremonies with Michael and their family before appearing at the White House.

Those images provide a visual timeline showing how her appearance has changed over nearly two decades.

But they still cannot answer the central question with certainty.

Susan herself has not publicly disclosed whether cosmetic treatments played a role.

What is confirmed is that her White House appearance was intended to highlight a massive financial commitment aimed at American children.

Instead, it also sparked an unexpected wave of conversation about appearance, aging, and cosmetic procedures.

And while experts can offer possibilities based on photographs, only Susan Dell knows the complete story behind how her appearance has changed over the years.
